Teresa Bovingdon

Teresa is a professional complementary practitioner, qualified in Aromatherapy Massage, Indian Head Massage, Hot Stone Massage, Holistic Crystal Facials, Hopi Ear Candling and is a Reiki Practitioner Master/Teacher.

Teresa has always believed her purpose in life was to spread some happiness to those who cross her path and make them feel good inside. Indeed she spends a good deal of her time helping others resolve the various problems that life brings them. Teresa has received considerable positive feedback particularly regarding the special touch she adds to each individual treatment.

Teresa worked for over twenty years in accounts and finance, with a short break in between when she became a mother, a role which she cherishes to this day. After going through a transitional period in her life in 2003 she turned her back on the stresses and strains of office life. Drawing on her compassionate nature decided to join the ambulance service to fulfil her desire to help people and contribute to her local community.

She has been delivering holistic and alternative therapies since 2004, with a speciality in Reiki and Massage, and enjoys creating individually tailored treatments to suit the needs of her clients.

In 2003 Teresa studied to gain Reiki level 1, but her Reiki journey really began with a chance meeting  one bitterly cold snowy night some weeks earlier, whilst attending a patient who was being comforted by a close friend.   The patient’s close friend was to become Teresa’s Reiki Master in the future although they did not know this at the time.

Teresa continues to enjoy meeting the rich variety of people who come to have a treatment and also learning additional skills as she progresses down her holistic path and cares passionately that you should feel tranquil and in perfect harmony so you can face the pressures of everyday life.

So that Teresa can keep up to date with industry trends and continue with her personal development she is registered with the Federation of Holistic Therapists (FHT) and also the Complementary Therapists Association (CthA).
