Jane Patchett
HG.Dip.P, RMN, RGN, NLP, MHGI
Jane Patchett is an accredited psychotherapist using the Human Givens approach. She is a registered member of the Human Givens Institute, and a member of the European Therapy Studies Institute. She also has CRB clearance.
Jane trained as a psychiatric and general nurse, working in both private clinics and NHS hospitals. She also spent time working in Switzerland with severely disabled children and young adults. Jane also volunteered for the Samaritans, and as a bereavement counsellor for Cruse working within prisons, schools and with families bereaved by suicide.
As a psychotherapist, Jane finds the Human Givens approach both practical and adaptable. She maintains that the common sense perspective, combined with a well-researched knowledge base identifying the essential emotional and physical needs and resources we all have (our 'human givens'), has proven to be a hugely effective method.
It enables clients to overcome emotional difficulties and to find their own solutions, and ensures that they learn how to use these resources in order to sustain a positive quality of life.
Each session normally lasts one hour.
You are not committed to booking a series of sessions – the length of therapy is entirely dependent on your needs.
