Andrea Wood
Andrea studied for three years at the internationally renowned and professionally respected Institute for Optimum Nutrition, founded by Patrick Holford in 1984. Her qualification ‘Dip ION’ is recognised by the governing bodies of Nutritional Therapy: the Nutritional Therapy Council (NTC), and the British Association for Applied Nutrition and Nutritional Therapy (BANT). A full member of both, Andrea practices within their strict codes of ethics.
Andrea has always been interested in the link between health and the food we eat, but became more so when training for marathons between 1989 and 1997. “When you want to get the absolute best from your body, you soon realize you have to put the absolute best into it!”.
Andrea’s areas of speciality are:
Mental Health, Sports Nutrition, Women’s Issues, Digestion and Gut Health.
At the Institute for Optimum Nutrition therapist are taught the importance with keeping in touch with the latest evidence-based scientific research. Andrea is committed to providing her clients with knowledge and information backed by nutritional science. She attends lectures and seminars regularly to enhance professional development.
